Post-Wacken Open Air Post

So we just got off Wacken Open Air and back here in the Philippines. All that we could say is that the experience was totally epic. It was 2 weeks of pure cultural immersion. We roamed around, learned to camp, met new friends, learned new things and most of all shared our music. It was surreal. Months ago, when we were hanging out with Typecast in a photo studio doing some stuff for the Crows And Vikings Tour, someone played Arch Enemy’s Wacken Open Air Set. Someone muttered: “Ang lupet siguro kung mag Wacken tayo no?” Fast forward to a few months after and we played the event. We almost had a heart attack backstage… It was a do or die situation and the best of all was we played a killer show. Thank you to those who’ve shown support. And thank you to the sound guys and production crew backstage who helped us out. Now we have some shows lined up that we’re excited about. Come September, Australia is next. Probably our last out-of-country tour but we can’t second guess our next stop can we? Grateful to the universe for granting us this opportunity. – R
